High Fiber Complex Carbs
- Sweet potatoes – orange, purple, white (white are my favorite)
- Rice – I like short grain brown rice but your favorite will do, just not minute rice or Uncle you know the one… Check the ingredients, does it just say “rice” then get it. Anything else is processed or has additives you don’t want.

- Legumes – cook them yourself or get canned
- Lentils (way better cooked fresh) Here are some recipes.
- Black beans (these are spicy) any black beans will do.
- Garbanzo beans
- Pinto beans
- Any other bean of choice.
