Hi There, I’m Shay
And I know exactly what it’s like to struggle with sticking to diet and exercise
I started my health journey in 2012 when I realized I couldn’t fit into my clothes, my skin was breaking out worse than ever, and my digestion was unpredictable.
So, like any health newb on a mission to lose weight I started exercising. The problem was, I couldn’t break some of the habits I knew were in between me and a truly healthy lifestyle.
Such as…
>> A bottle of wine a night
>> Eating until I was overly stuffed on a daily basis
>> Restricting during the week and binging on the weekends
>> Afraid to go to parties because I couldn’t resist food temptation
I tried to out-workout my poor diet. Working out 2-3 times a day sometimes. When that didn’t work, I knew I had to examine what I was putting into my body. The path was not linear. There were ups and downs and major setbacks, but… Eventually, I found BALANCE. I figured out how to eat for the body I wanted, feel better, and yet still enjoy “real life” (wine, pizza, and chocolate included).
That journey has led me to write this blog and fueled my desire to provide you with the things I’ve learned over the years.
To change your lifestyle requires commitment and trade-off. At the root of that commitment is your deeper WHY. It’s the first step to making lasting change. I wish I would have found mine sooner.
